this was my semi final match at the 2006 pan am bjj championship. it was the semifinals and an important match to me. i really wanted to beat this guy. my coach really wanted me to beat this guy. i watched his matches before mine and he irritated me. the only guy to do so all day. he stalled, and he edged out of bounds to get time to rest while he got reset in the middle. he pulled his belt off slightly so it would fall off and then the ref would help him reattach it while he leaned on the ref to rest. before our match he was allowed to leave the area so he could get water and lay down to rest. we were told not to leave the mat we were assigned to. he was the teachers pet and i really wanted to win against the teachers pet. the funny part was after i got the mount my legs and abs cramped up completely.
